The data center in which most of our servers are running is located in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The city of St. Louis is at a strategic central location in the United States which is safe from Wars, Earthquakes, and Hurricanes. Most users can reach our data center via a single backbone which avoids the common network problem: traffic jam at the backbone intersections.

The data center is only linked to the world best Internet backbones such as UUNET, Sprint, AT&T and Level 3. Backbone connections are purchased from these top rated providers where network uptime is guaranteed. The data center does not exchange traffic free with other providers at public exchange points such as MAE-East and MAE-West. Such peering agreement has no service quality guarantee. You often see packet loss at these public exchange points.

Most of our servers are located at state-of-the-art Internet data center which is engineered for high performance and redundancy. It has rich fiber connections to all major carriers and scalable bandwidth capacity from OC3 to OC192.

Our Data center has spare servers on-line of all CPU configurations. If a server were to experience a hardware failure, they would turn a key, grab the handle on the drive, pull it out, and insert it into an identical standby CPU.   *  Web server we run is Apache 1.3.6 It is of UNIX type. 
  *  We use Apache-SSL which is several times more secure than Netscape SSL. 
  *  We use MySQL. It is a relatively easy-to-use database program. Visit http://www.mysql.com/ for more information. No additional fees for using the mySQL database. It is included in the package. 
  *  You have your own raw log files. 
  *  You can set up password protected areas. 
  *  You can update your pages an unlimited amount of times, at any time you wish. 
  *  A CGI-BIN is provided. CGI scripts (Common Gateway interface) are used to provide things like counters, form responses, guest books, and many other things. Point Internet Services gives you full CGI access for no extra charge! You can write your own scripts, install someone else's, or use one of our preinstalled CGI scripts. pgpmail.pl, formmail.pl and count.cgi cgi scripts are preinstalled. 
  *  Bourne, Shell, and Perl are all supported and available. 
  *  We don't offer Java support at this time and You can't run JSP. ASP is also supported and can be setup for additional charge. 
  *  Version of Perl we use is 5.00404. 
  *  There is no fee for transferring your domain to from us or Network Solutions. 
  *  Space will be made available the same business day! Once an account is set-up an activation notice will be sent to you via e-mail including your user-ID, password, and your IP address. 
  *  You can use the Fetch program to transfer files from your MAC to our system. You can also use the POP e-mail programs like Eudora, Claris E-mail and Netscape Mail. 
  *  A shell account included 
  *  No limit on space for e-mail accounts. The only limit is the quantity of email accounts your current plan has prorate to web space. 
  *  All POP clients can be used: pine, elm, Netscape mail, Outlook, etc. You can use any program which downloads the files from our server onto your computer. You can use mail user agents which run on our servers (such as pine), with a special configuration. 
  *  You cannot use IMAP programs. Our servers are not configured to be able to support IMAP. IMAP is possible, however, for only the main username of the account. We cannot provide any support other than turning on your access to IMAP. If you would like this, please let us know where you connect from and we will make an ftp connection to the server. We have to open a port for the location/s that you can connect to the server from. 
  *  SSI is on all of our servers. You just need to be sure that you call your files with the .shtml extension. 
  *  All POP clients can be used: pine, elm, Netscape mail, Outlook, etc. You can use any program which downloads the files from our server onto your computer. You can use mail user agents which run on our servers (such as pine), with a special configuration. You cannot use IMAP programs. 
  *  Our NOC has a 99.5% uptime rating. Our servers are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
